In Level 1, you’ll gain the core skills and concepts of the Parenting as a Team model. By the end of this training, you will be able to:
  • Analyse triangular alliances in families and spot the difference between helpful and harmful patterns.
  • Distinguish competitive couple alliances from collusive parent–child alliances.
  • Understand the unique roles of the Active Parent and the Third-Party Parent, and why smooth transitions between them matter.
  • Explain why couples working against each other undermines children’s wellbeing.
  • Recognise what effective teamwork between parents looks like in practice.
  • Generate Parenting as a Team Action Plans that support couples to collaborate, rather than clash.
  • Apply core interventions, including: disrupting competitive parenting, repairing mis-coordination, and reinforcing couple solidarity.
Level 1 is designed to give you both theory and practical tools you can immediately use in your clinical practice. You’ll leave with a clear framework to help couples shift from working against each other to working together in support of their children.
